From the early hours of the day, the corridors, courtyards, roof, and modern expansions of the Prophet's Mosque were filled with worshippers and visitors. The rows of worshippers extended in an orderly fashion to the roads and areas surrounding the mosque. Pilgrims flocked from within Saudi Arabia and abroad, driven by a sincere desire and keenness to witness the Night of the Completion of the Quran and participate in this awe-inspiring spiritual event.
A heartfelt prayer and wishes for stability and peace
The imam and preacher of the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, led the prayers on this blessed night. Sheikh Al-Budair raised his hands in supplication, offering a heartfelt prayer that moved the worshippers to tears, beseeching God Almighty to grant Muslims forgiveness and deliverance from Hellfire. He also prayed that God protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Muslim lands from all harm and evil, and that He perpetuate upon them the blessings of security, safety, and stability. To ensure the success of this massive gathering, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques, in continuous coordination with various relevant governmental and security agencies, has prepared a comprehensive system of exceptional services. These efforts aim to receive worshippers and visitors in a manner that guarantees their safety and complete comfort, enabling them to perform their religious rites in an atmosphere of meticulous organization and tranquility. This tireless work is in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, which places the care of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors at the forefront of its priorities.
Meticulous organization and continuous sterilization
The Authority worked with high efficiency to organize the entry and exit of worshippers to and from the Prophet's Mosque, preparing and equipping all prayer areas and main and secondary corridors, and ensuring they were completely free of any obstacles that might impede the flow of movement. In addition to managing the crowds, intensive efforts included cleaning and sanitizing operations; the Prophet's Mosque, its roof, and courtyards are sanitized five times daily using the latest safe technologies. The area is also fumigated with the finest perfumes four times daily, and approximately 25,000 luxurious carpets have been laid throughout the mosque's arcades, directly contributing to creating a healthy and spiritually enriching environment, fully prepared for visitors to perform their religious rites with ease and comfort.
