The Jubail Governorate Municipality achieved significant progress in its field performance during 2025, setting new records in improving the urban landscape and raising the level of public cleanliness. These achievements are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing the efficiency of waste management and enhancing the quality of life for the governorate's residents and visitors, with field teams intensifying their efforts to ensure a healthy and sustainable environment.
Integrated efforts to achieve quality of life goals
These projects are particularly important as they align directly with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the "Quality of Life" program, which aims to improve the lifestyle of individuals and families and build a society where its members enjoy a balanced way of life. Municipalities across the Kingdom, including Jubail Municipality, are working to implement the concept of "humanizing cities" by removing visual and environmental pollutants that negatively impact residents' well-being, reflecting a firm governmental commitment to developing infrastructure and services.
Record numbers in waste management and cleanliness
In terms of digital achievements, field teams successfully removed over 17,000 tons of household waste and handled more than 82,000 tons of solid waste. These efforts extended beyond waste removal, encompassing the clearing of over 265,000 cubic meters of unidentified construction debris and rubble—a crucial step in curbing encroachments on vacant land and preserving the aesthetic appeal of residential neighborhoods and main streets.

War on visual distortions
In a related context, the Mayor of Jubail Governorate, Engineer Badi Al-Qahtani, explained that the municipality has given considerable attention to addressing visual pollution. Achievements included the implementation of over 32,000 hours of mechanical street sweeping to ensure clean roads, and the rehabilitation and maintenance of 4,984 waste containers to give them a more presentable and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Additionally, over 17,000 square meters of walls were painted to remove graffiti, and 1,828 illegal or dilapidated billboards that were marring the city's visual landscape were removed.
Urban environmental sustainability
Engineer Al-Qahtani affirmed that these efforts are part of a comprehensive and ongoing operational plan aimed not only at immediate solutions but also at enhancing the efficiency of municipal services and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the urban environment. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work according to the highest technical and environmental standards to serve beneficiaries, noting that community cooperation and residents' awareness are fundamental pillars in preserving these national achievements, thus contributing to making Jubail a model of cleanliness and urban planning.
