Details of the massive field operations
The annual report of the General Directorate of Cleaning Projects explained that the field teams carried out comprehensive and accurate surveys, which included:
- Implementing mechanical and manual sweeping and litter collection works on a road network exceeding 4.6 million kilometers .
- Lifting and transporting large-sized waste exceeding 1.28 million cubic meters from various neighborhoods and highways.
- Washing and disinfecting more than 521,000 waste containers , and maintaining and treating about 20,600 other containers to ensure the sustainability of the service.
- Washing sidewalks, public facilities and walkways with a length exceeding 24,000 kilometers .
Combating visual pollution and improving the urban landscape
