In a scene embodying the highest ideals of human solidarity and social cohesion, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region, participated in the annual Ramadan iftar banquet held for orphans, people with disabilities, and the children of martyrs and those injured in service. This paternal gathering took place at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Jazan City, in the presence of a number of officials and dignitaries from the region.
A Ramadan tradition that reflects the leadership's concern
This annual participation by the Governor of Jazan and his deputy is a long-standing tradition reflecting the keenness of the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to care for all segments of society, especially those who have made great sacrifices for the nation or who are in need of support and assistance. The leadership's participation in a communal Iftar with these groups is not merely a symbolic gesture, but a practical affirmation that they are an integral part of the social fabric, that the state stands by them at all times, and that it works to provide a suitable environment for their empowerment and integration into the development process.
The importance of the event in the context of the Jazan region
This initiative holds particular significance in the Jazan region, a vital border area of the Kingdom. The people of this region have made immense sacrifices in defense of the nation's security and stability. Therefore, honoring and caring for the children of martyrs and wounded veterans carries a profound message of appreciation and gratitude for their fathers' sacrifices, and affirms that the nation does not forget its sons who gave their lives for it. This event also boosts the morale of their families and strengthens the bonds of trust and belonging between the citizens and their leadership.
Continuous support and a future vision
During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Prince of the region and his deputy exchanged warm greetings with the attendees, offering their congratulations on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and praying that God would bring it back to everyone with goodness, prosperity, and blessings. The Prince of Jazan commended the role played by government agencies and the non-profit sector in serving these groups, praising the efforts of those in charge of the “Ghiras” Association for Orphan Care in the region and the quality programs and initiatives it provides. These efforts align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which places great importance on developing the non-profit sector and strengthening social responsibility programs, with the aim of building a vibrant and cohesive society whose members enjoy care and attention.
