German coach Matthias Jäissle, the technical director of Al Ahly's first football team, issued a decision to give the team members a two-day break from group training, following the latest developments regarding the team's continental participation schedule.
The decision by the technical staff of the Jeddah team came in response to the announcement by the Asian Football Confederation of the postponement of the round of 16 matches of the AFC Champions League Elite Championship, which included the match between Al-Ahli and Al-Duhail, due to the current situation in the region.
Yasle has set next Tuesday as the official date for the resumption of group training, where the team will begin its technical and physical preparations in preparation for the upcoming local competitions after the continental competition was temporarily suspended.
The technical staff is directing its focus towards the anticipated “Jeddah derby” match, as Al-Ahli prepares to meet its rival Al-Ittihad in the twenty-fifth round of the Saudi Professional League, scheduled to be held next Friday evening.
Al-Ahli enters this stage of preparations while occupying second place in the Saudi Roshan League standings, continuing to chase the top spot with only two points behind Al-Nasr, who hold first place.
