The Ministry of Islamic Affairs will distribute more than one million awareness copies in 8 languages to pilgrims in Madinah during 2025, as part of efforts to facilitate the rituals and achieve Vision 2030.

As part of its ongoing efforts to serve pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by its branch in the Madinah region, announced a significant achievement in its outreach efforts during 2025: the distribution of 1,060,492 copies of educational and guidance books to pilgrims. This initiative reinforces the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in caring for Umrah pilgrims and visitors, and facilitating the performance of their rituals in accordance with sound Islamic principles.

Linguistic diversity to serve a global message

The Ministry ensured that the materials provided were comprehensive and catered to the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of visitors to the Prophet's Mosque. The publications included essential titles relevant to every Muslim, most notably: "The Description of Umrah," "Fortress of the Muslim," and "Guide for the Pilgrim." To guarantee the accurate and accessible delivery of religious information, these publications were translated into eight major world languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, Turkish, Russian, Hindi, Uzbek, and Indonesian. This diversity reflects the Ministry's understanding of the global nature of pilgrims and its commitment to removing language barriers that might hinder comprehension of the rituals.

Comprehensive geographical coverage of arrival and departure points

The deployment wasn't limited to the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque, but extended to all entry points and vital locations used by visitors. Field teams were present at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah to receive air arrivals, as well as at Prince Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Regional Airport in Yanbu. The Ministry also ensured coverage of land entry points through the Hajj Terminal in Khaybar, in addition to a strong presence at the Dhu al-Hulayfah Miqat, a major departure point for pilgrims heading to Makkah, as well as at major mosques, the Comprehensive Service Center, and mosques west of the Prophet's Mosque.

Keeping pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030

These efforts gain added significance when viewed within the context of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the "Guests of God Service Program." With the anticipated increase in the number of pilgrims and visitors annually, religious awareness becomes a cornerstone for ensuring the smooth flow of movement and the tranquility of performing religious rites. Providing accurate information directly contributes to alleviating congestion caused by a lack of knowledge about the rituals and enhances the visitor's spiritual experience, making their religious journey a memorable and accessible one.

These millions of figures confirm the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ commitment to harnessing all its human and material capabilities to serve Islam and Muslims, and to present an honorable image of the care that the wise leadership gives to the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
