The Ministry of Interior affirmed that begging is prohibited in all its forms and manifestations, regardless of the justifications. Anyone who engages in begging, incites others to beg, conspires with them, or assists them in any way in this practice will be punished with imprisonment, a fine, and deportation for non-Saudis—except for the spouse of a Saudi citizen or their children—after serving their sentence. The Ministry urged everyone not to deal with beggars or give them money in any way, and to ensure that donations are directed to those truly in need through official charitable platforms and licensed organizations. The ministry confirmed Interior that Begging It is prohibited in all its forms and manifestations, regardless of its justifications. Anyone who engages in begging, incites others, agrees with them, or assists them in any way in engaging in begging shall be punished with imprisonment, a fine, and deportation for non-Saudis—except for the wife of a Saudi or the husband of a Saudi woman or her children—after the end of their sentence from the Kingdom.

The ministry urged everyone not to deal with beggars or give them money in any way, and to ensure that donations are made to those who deserve them through official charitable platforms and licensed entities.

Begging cases

She called for reporting cases of begging by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and all reports will be dealt with in complete confidentiality without any responsibility on the part of the reporter.
