The head of the Buraiman sub-municipality, Fahd bin Sharaf Al-Maliki, explained that the municipality detected the encroachment during its monitoring tours, as it was found that there were constructions and commercial shops erected inside government land belonging to one of the ministries without legal documents, indicating that the legal procedures were taken regarding the site and the violations were removed with a total area of “74,050” square meters.
Completion of regulatory procedures
He pointed out that the matter was referred to the State Properties Authority to complete the regulatory procedures by virtue of its jurisdiction, stressing that these efforts come within the framework of the Secretariat’s ongoing work to address encroachments on government lands, implement regulations and limit the exploitation of public sites in irregular ways.
The Jeddah Governorate Municipality continues to carry out its field inspection tours to monitor violations and deal with them in accordance with regulations, calling for compliance with regulatory requirements and not encroaching on government lands, and reporting any encroachments or violations through the “Baladi” application or the unified reporting center 940, in order to preserve public property.
