In a remarkable achievement that reflects the high level of competitiveness in the camel sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ibrahim Al-Muhaidib won the third edition of the "Sanam" platform, after achieving the highest total points during a fierce competition that lasted for more than 30 days as part of the activities of the tenth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival

With this victory, Al-Muhaidib secured the grand prize package previously announced by the Chairman of the Camel Club, Sheikh Fahd bin Falah bin Hathleen. This package, considered among the most valuable in the history of heritage competitions, included the honor of greeting the event's patron, winning the prestigious "Shaddad" prize, and an unprecedented prize: a private island. The awards weren't limited to the first-place winner; they extended to his support team throughout the competition, with the top ten receiving substantial cash prizes totaling 5 million riyals.

"Sanam" game: Merging heritage with digital technology

The "Sanam" game represents a qualitative leap in the way we engage with our cultural heritage, extending the Camel Club's development path to transform this heritage into a modern, interactive experience. The platform aims to bring the public closer to the details of camel competitions and enhance their presence in the public consciousness in a way that blends authenticity with innovative digital solutions. The platform has successfully created a model that combines entertainment and education, amidst breathtaking audience engagement right up until the moment the winner is announced.

The figures indicate a resounding success for the platform in its third version, as it registered more than 600,000 players in a short period of no more than 40 days, making it top the smartphone app stores and become the most popular Saudi game, which reflects the passion of the new generation for heritage when presented in modern formats.

King Abdulaziz Camel Festival: Historical Depth and Cultural Dimension

This event is part of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival , the largest festival of its kind in the world, held annually in the southern Al-Dahna desert. Since its inception, the festival has aimed to preserve and promote camel heritage within Saudi, Arab, and Islamic culture, and to provide a cultural, touristic, sporting, recreational, and economic destination focused on camels and their traditions.

The festival's role is not limited to traditional competitions, but has become a huge economic engine, as it contributes to stimulating buying and selling in camel markets and raising the market value of rare breeds, thus enhancing the "camel economy" as an important investment resource.

Strategic goals and future vision

Through its "Sanam" initiative and the festival in general, the Camel Club has achieved several strategic objectives aligned with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, most notably promoting camel culture and knowledge and its close connection to Saudi national identity. The club also seeks to enhance the camel's presence both locally and globally through high-quality platforms and programs, contributing to the preservation of this rich heritage and its transmission to future generations in ways that resonate with the modern world.
