Five hundred and thirty young men and women, along with scout leaders, continue their participation in the Madinah Public Service Camp for Ramadan 1447 AH, contributing significantly to traffic management and the movement of worshippers around the Prophet's Mosque, particularly at the main entrances and exits that experience high traffic volume during prayer times. They work alongside traffic police to facilitate the passage of those entering and leaving the mosque, thus enhancing traffic flow and creating a safe and reassuring environment for visitors. The tasks of the camp participants are distributed across a number of locations within Medina, including the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque, the central health centers, Quba Mosque, and Miqat Mosque, where they provide various humanitarian and organizational services, most notably pushing wheelchairs, organizing worshippers and managing crowds, organizing visitors to health centers, supervising entry and exit at gates and stairs, guiding lost people, taking care of children, contributing to the movement of visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, and assisting the elderly.

Youthful giving

These efforts are an extension of the historical role of scouting in the Kingdom in promoting a culture of volunteer work and community service, as the camp represents a practical platform for instilling the values ​​of giving and national belonging in boys and young men, and enabling them to actively participate in serving the guests of God, through qualified and trained human resources working in the spirit of one team.

A number of scouting sectors from various entities are participating in the implementation of the camp’s tasks, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports, Taibah University, the Islamic University of Madinah, and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, in a model that reflects the integration of efforts between government agencies and educational and youth sectors to serve visitors and pilgrims.

The camp aims to serve visitors and worshippers, contribute with relevant authorities in providing services to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque, encourage youth to engage in volunteer work, and showcase the bright image of the nation’s sons in the fields of humanitarian service, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s position in caring for the guests of the Two Holy Mosques and providing them with the best services.
