He added, "We are delighted with the win and qualification for the quarterfinals in such a highly competitive tournament, where there are no easy matches. Benin is a respectable team and played well.
" The coach thanked the players, saying, "I thank all the players for their tremendous effort, as well as all the members of the technical, medical, and administrative staff. The players possess a high spirit and fight hard on the field, and we will fight in the quarterfinal match to dedicate the victory to Mohamed Hamdy."
Hassan also addressed Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet's condition, explaining, "Trezeguet is suffering from an ankle ligament injury, and we are currently working to prepare him for the upcoming matches."
The national team coach emphasized his respect for all opponents, while simultaneously stressing the Pharaohs' ambitions, saying, "I respect all teams, but as Egypt, we always strive for victory and the title. Football doesn't recognize history as much as it recognizes performance on the field."
Hossam Hassan spoke about his coaching career, saying, "I've worked with many great coaches, but Captain Mahmoud El-Gohary will always be a big name for me. I've gained valuable experience from all the coaches I've worked with."
He concluded his remarks by affirming the team's readiness for the next stage: "We will begin preparing for the quarter-final match tomorrow, and we are ready to face any team. I have 27 experienced players who are capable of shouldering the responsibility, and I thank everyone on the team for working as one."
