Artist Nadia Mustafa , a member of the Musicians Syndicate, issued an urgent message of reassurance to the fans of the renowned Arab singer Hani Shaker , revealing details of his health condition following reports circulating on some platforms about a sudden health setback. These statements came after the celebrated artist underwent delicate spinal surgery last week, which had sparked widespread concern among the artistic community and the public.
Nadia Mustafa confirmed via her official Facebook account that the health of artist Hani Shaker is completely stable and there is no cause for concern. She explained that he has already left the hospital after the successful surgery and receiving the necessary medical care, and he is currently at home completing his recovery period, adhering to the instructions of the medical team who stressed the importance of complete rest to ensure a full recovery and prevent any complications.
The price of success and intensive tours
In a related development, a source close to the artist Hani Shaker revealed that the surgery was a result of significant physical strain he had endured over the past three months. The recent period has witnessed intense artistic activity from the "Prince of Arab Song," including successful concert tours in the United States, as well as a series of large-scale concerts in the Gulf countries, Jordan, and Lebanon, in addition to his ongoing artistic endeavors within Egypt. This continuous effort has taken a toll on his spinal health, necessitating medical intervention to treat a vertebra.
Artistic stature and rich history
Hani Shaker holds an exceptional place in the hearts of Arab audiences, as he is considered one of the most prominent figures in both classical and modern Arabic song. His illustrious artistic career began in 1972, and for over five decades, he has maintained his authentic artistic identity. His repertoire includes more than 600 songs and 29 albums that have shaped the sensibilities of successive generations. He has also played a significant administrative role in protecting the rights of musicians, serving as the head of the Musicians Syndicate in Egypt since 2015. Throughout his career, he has received numerous local and international awards and honors in recognition of his refined artistry.
Concerts postponed and return date
As a result of these emergency health circumstances, the companies organizing Hani Shaker's concerts have announced a change to his upcoming schedule. His concert, originally scheduled for January 23rd at the Teatro Arkan, has been postponed to a new date of Thursday, April 2nd. The organizers confirmed that all tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new date without any additional requirements for the public.
Nahla Tawfiq confirmed that his health condition is stable and categorically denied the rumors that spoke of the seriousness of the situation, noting that he is undergoing periodic follow-up at home and all he needs now is rest and quiet to return to his audience as soon as possible.
