One person was killed and five others were seriously injured today in a grenade attack targeting the city of Sippi in Balochistan province, northwest Pakistan, in a new incident adding to the record of security tensions in the region.
Local police sources reported that the attack occurred when an unidentified individual threw a hand grenade into a public square in the city center, which was bustling with pedestrians at the time. Authorities confirmed that security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the report. The area was cordoned off, and six injured people were taken to the hospital for treatment; however, one of them later died from his severe injuries.
