In a scene reflecting the depth of fraternal bonds and cultural convergence, the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, organized by the Ministry of Media in strategic partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program, welcomed thousands of visitors of various nationalities this evening. Crowds flocked to Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the most prominent areas of Riyadh Season, to engage with the events of the week dedicated to Sudanese culture, in a celebration that embodied the values of tolerance and harmony among the peoples embraced by the Kingdom.
Enhancing quality of life and cultural exchange
These events are part of a broader context linked to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically the Quality of Life Program, which aims to improve the lifestyle of individuals and families and build a society where its members enjoy a balanced way of life. The “Global Harmony” initiative is a practical manifestation of the Kingdom’s efforts to promote coexistence among different cultures and to highlight the lives of residents in Saudi Arabia, showcasing their contributions and cultural diversity as an integral part of the Kingdom’s social fabric.
Colors of Sudanese folklore
Al-Suwaidi Park witnessed a vibrant carnival of colors and melodies, as participating groups presented diverse folk and musical performances reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Sudan. The performances included artistic tableaux showcasing aspects of different Sudanese regional cultures, from energetic traditional dances to distinctive folk rhythms, along with a display of traditional costumes that express authentic Sudanese identity.
Artistic interaction and family activities
The event wasn't limited to dance performances; it also featured a selection of Sudanese artists who delighted the audience with a variety of modern and popular songs, which the crowd enthusiastically sang along to. The initiative also catered to families and children, providing a dedicated stage that presented puppet shows and circus acts, in addition to entertaining cultural challenges, making the evening a complete experience for all family members.
Widespread public success
The Ministry of Information is scheduled to conclude its Sudanese cultural events tomorrow, following several days of events that witnessed a large public turnout and significant interaction, reflecting the prominent position of the Sudanese community and the depth of its cultural heritage.
