Learn about the details of unifying gas cylinder filling prices in Saudi Arabia starting from January 2026, including tax and transportation to all regions, according to the Gasco announcement.

The National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO) announced in an urgent official statement its decision to standardize the prices for filling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders and central tanks across all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, effective January 1, 2026. This decision is a strategic step aimed at regulating the gas market and ensuring fair prices for consumers in all cities and governorates.

New price details

The company explained in its statement that the approved prices were in accordance with the governance procedures for adjusting energy and water product prices adopted in the Kingdom. The new prices were determined as follows:

  • 11 kg gas cylinder: 26.23 Saudi Riyals.
  • 5 kg gas cylinder: 11.93 Saudi Riyals.
  • Central tanks: 1.1770 riyals per liter.

Gasco confirmed that these prices are final and inclusive of transportation fees and value-added tax, meaning that the consumer will not bear any additional undisclosed costs when purchasing from approved distribution points in any region of the Kingdom.

Context of the decision and its economic importance

This decision comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to raise energy consumption efficiency and regulate local markets in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The “Energy Price Governance” mechanism is one of the main pillars that ensures transparency in pricing, as the unification of prices aims to eliminate the price discrepancies that previously occurred as a result of the difference in transportation and logistics costs between major and remote areas.

Expected impact on the consumer and the market

This standardization is expected to protect consumers from exploitation or unjustified price hikes in areas far from major distribution centers. This measure also reflects Gasco's commitment to its role as a strategic national partner supporting economic development, as cost standardization will support households and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that rely on gas for their operations, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided and ensuring fairness and equality for all residents of the Kingdom.
