The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce headquarters hosted the first meeting of its 20th Board of Directors on Sunday, January 18, 2026. The meeting resulted in the election of Fahad Al-Faraj Hamad Al-Khaldi was elected First Vice Chairman, and Mohammed Al-Majdoui Second Vice Chairman, thus completing the new Board's leadership structure.
Strategic importance of the Eastern Province
These elections come at a crucial time, as the Eastern Province represents the industrial and economic heart of Saudi Arabia. The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in representing the interests of the private sector in this region, which is home to major energy and petrochemical companies, as well as vital ports and logistics zones. The business community is counting on the new board to continue the development process and enhance the efficiency of services provided to investors and entrepreneurs, keeping pace with the Kingdom's rapid economic transformation.

Following the meeting, the newly elected Chairman of the Board, Fahad Al-Faraj, affirmed that the new board bears a significant responsibility to continue the Chamber's distinguished legacy. He explained that the upcoming strategy will focus on actively contributing to sustainable economic development and strengthening the Chamber's position as a leading model in supporting the business sector. Al-Faraj indicated that the Chamber is strongly committed to supporting the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through:

- Contributing to the creation of an attractive and stimulating economic environment for foreign and domestic investment.

Al-Faraj emphasized that the council adopts an ambitious approach to strengthening partnership and integration with the chamber's executive body, aiming to create a strategic impact on economic decision-making. The council seeks to support the competitiveness of the business environment in the region and explore new investment opportunities that enhance the Eastern Province's economic and social standing, ensuring the chamber's continued development and active institutional presence.
The council was formed by ministerial decree
It is worth noting that the Board of Directors, in its twentieth session, was appointed by a decision of the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, for a four-year term, commencing on 19 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to January 8, 2026. The Board comprises a select group of economic experts and business leaders, both men and women, namely:
