The Israeli government had earlier announced a series of strikes on Iranian cities, including Tehran, on the seventeenth day of the war that began with a joint US-led attack on Iran on February 28. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that Tehran was prepared to take the war with Israel and the United States to the “greatest extent” necessary. Araqchi added during a weekly press briefing at the Foreign Ministry, “I think they have learned their lesson well now, and they understand what kind of state we are.”
