The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued an official statement today announcing the execution of three individuals in the Riyadh region, after they were found guilty of committing serious terrorist crimes that threatened the security of the nation and the safety of citizens and security personnel. This announcement reaffirms the Kingdom's firm approach in confronting all those who attempt to tamper with the country's resources or join organizations seeking to spread chaos.
Details of the crimes and the names announced
According to the ministry's statement, Hussein bin Salem bin Mohammed Al-Amri , Saud bin Hilal bin Saud Al-Anzi , and Bassam Mohsen Maran Al-Subaie committed a series of organized terrorist crimes. The most prominent charges against them included joining a terrorist organization outside the Kingdom, which constitutes high treason, in addition to carrying out acts of sabotage directly targeting security agencies.
The investigation revealed the perpetrators' involvement in planting explosive devices inside security vehicles, in a criminal plot aimed at assassinating security personnel and taking their lives while performing their national duty. The charges also included harboring and concealing a number of terrorist elements, which contributed to supporting the criminal plots.
The judicial process and effective justice
The Ministry of Interior explained that security forces, thanks to God and their vigilance, were able to apprehend the aforementioned individuals. Following the completion of investigations and the formal indictment, they were referred to the competent court, which examined the charges against them with utmost precision and transparency. A legal ruling was issued confirming their guilt and sentencing them to death by way of discretionary punishment.
The ruling became final after being upheld by the relevant authority, and a royal decree was issued ordering its implementation. The ruling was carried out on Sunday, 29 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to 18 January 2026, in the Riyadh region.

This execution comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism and eliminate its sources. This ruling reflects the state's commitment to implementing the provisions of Islamic Sharia, which prohibits spreading corruption on earth, based on the verse: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to spread corruption on earth is that they should be killed...".
The Ministry of Interior concluded its statement by affirming the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to maintain security and achieve justice, while warning anyone who thinks of committing such criminal acts that the legal punishment will be their inevitable fate.
