Environmental violators apprehended in Tuwaiq and King Abdulaziz Royal Reserves

The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulations by driving his vehicle into the meadows and valleys within the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve. In a separate incident, the Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulations by failing to comply with instructions and guidelines for preserving vegetation. This citizen started a fire in undesignated areas within the Tuwaiq Nature Reserve, and legal action was taken against him. The forces confirmed that the penalty for lighting fires in places not designated for them in forests and national parks is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals.

She urged reporting any cases that constitute an attack on the environment or wildlife to the number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality without any liability on the part of the reporter.
