Dr. Ayman Al-Khadra, Chief Medical Officer of Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group, affirmed that investing in medical education and training is a strategic pillar of the group. For his part, Dr. Abdullah Bukhari, Executive Director of Academic Affairs at the group, explained that the graduation of this distinguished cohort is an extension of the group's ongoing efforts to develop national healthcare competencies and enhance investment in medical education and training. He emphasized that Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Academy has become an advanced educational platform contributing to building an integrated system for medical education and scientific research. He added that the academy will continue to expand its training and educational programs to keep pace with modern scientific developments and enhance the capabilities of healthcare professionals across various specialties.
Dr. Bukhari pointed out that the organizing committee is making great efforts to produce the ceremony in a manner befitting this occasion, as an integrated program has been prepared that includes honoring the graduates and handing out certificates, reviewing the most prominent achievements of the academic programs, in addition to highlighting the success stories of the graduates and the scholarship programs offered by the group.
The ceremony will also honor the winners of the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Journal of Scientific Research Awards, totaling 1.5 million riyals, in support of scientific research and to encourage innovation in the medical field. The awards are granted based on the decisions of a panel of judges comprised of leading experts and researchers, following an evaluation of the submitted research. The first prize is 500,000 riyals for the best medical research, the second prize is 300,000 riyals for the second best, and the third prize is 200,000 riyals for the third best. The fourth prize is 200,000 riyals for the four best scientific reviews. The fifth prize, totaling 150,000 riyals, is awarded to the three best emerging research projects from students in various health-related disciplines, while the sixth prize, also worth 150,000 riyals, is awarded to three healthcare practitioners enrolled in training programs affiliated with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
