The President of the Board of Grievances launches the innovation phase and the use of artificial intelligence in administrative justice, stressing the role of administrative implementation in promoting justice and supporting Vision 2030.

In a strategic move that aligns with the rapid digital transformation underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, President of the Board of Grievances and Chairman of the Administrative Judiciary Council, announced the Board's official entry into the third phase of its strategic plan, which is based on "innovation and artificial intelligence." This announcement was made during the "Leadership" ceremony held in Diriyah, the cradle of the Saudi state, a location that symbolically connects the Kingdom's rich history with its forward-looking vision.

A qualitative shift from automation to corporate intelligence

Dr. Al-Yousef emphasized that this phase is not merely a technological upgrade, but rather an extension of a comprehensive development process that began with establishing the digital infrastructure, progressed through stages of maturity and quality, and culminated in the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the core of judicial work. This transformation aims to convert the vast amounts of data held by the court into predictive tools and precise indicators that support decision-making, moving away from personal interpretations and thus enhancing the objectivity of judgments and expediting the resolution of administrative disputes.

Activating "administrative implementation" and its economic and legal impact

In the context of strengthening the rule of law, the President of the Board of Grievances emphasized the paramount importance of activating the "Administrative Enforcement" system, which was established under the direct guidance of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. This transformation marks a pivotal point in the history of Saudi administrative justice, granting the Board the authority to enforce judgments issued against administrative bodies. This reinforces the prestige of the judiciary and enhances the confidence of investors and individuals in the justice system. This development not only positively impacts the legal sphere but also directly contributes to improving the business environment and attracting foreign investment by ensuring the enforcement of contracts and decisions.

Artificial intelligence: the future of judgment drafting

Dr. Al-Yousef revealed ambitious plans to employ artificial intelligence algorithms to assist in drafting judicial rulings, thus freeing up judges' time to focus on the complex substantive aspects of cases. These technologies will also be used to analyze development and investment indicators, making the administrative judiciary an active partner in supporting the national economy and achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Global leadership and well-deserved awards

The ceremony concluded with a presentation of statistics reflecting the scale of the achievement, highlighting the Board of Grievances' attainment of 28 local and international accreditations and awards, demonstrating its success in implementing governance standards and digital transformation. The new strategy aims to position the Saudi administrative judiciary among the most advanced judicial systems globally by aligning with the standards applied in comparable international courts, thus ensuring the delivery of swift, high-quality, and transparent justice.
