The Saudi Federation concludes the first phase of the Asian A License course in Riyadh with the participation of 24 national coaches, as part of plans to develop technical competencies in cooperation with Al-Yamamah University.

The Technical Department of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the conclusion of the first phase of the AFC (A) License Course – Part 3, which was hosted by the capital, Riyadh, over five consecutive days. The course saw the participation of 24 national coaches, reflecting the Federation's ongoing commitment to developing local coaching talent and raising the level of professionalism in Saudi football.

The course, overseen by the Coaches Affairs Department, featured an intensive technical program combining theoretical and practical aspects. Lectures were led by a select group of international experts, including international lecturers Franck Tevillier and Emmanuel Vandenbolk, with active participation from national lecturers Fahad Madhish, Bader Al-Dosari, and Ahmed Al-Thukairallah. The topics focused on the latest tactical training methods, physical conditioning, and technical analysis, ensuring that Saudi coaches keep pace with the most recent international standards adopted by the Asian Football Confederation.

The importance of the Asian (A) license and the future of national training

This course is of paramount importance within the Asian coaching hierarchy, as the (A) license is the fundamental standard that qualifies coaches to lead advanced age groups and work as assistant coaches in professional leagues. It is also the primary gateway to obtaining the (Pro) license. This step aligns with the comprehensive strategy of Saudi football, which aims to bridge the gap between national and foreign coaches and empower Saudi talent to assume technical leadership positions in clubs and national teams in the future, in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in the sports sector.

Academic partnership to promote the sports environment

In the context of strengthening institutional partnerships, the Technical Director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Nasser Largete, praised the strategic cooperation with Al Yamamah University, which hosted the course in its entirety. Largete emphasized that providing a comprehensive educational and training environment, combining modern sports facilities with well-equipped academic halls, is a crucial factor in the success of such development programs. He noted that the Federation is committed to its plans to raise the quality of technical work by continuing to hold advanced courses and workshops that refine coaches' skills and set them on the right path to professionalism.
