5 cases that warrant suspending social security pension payments
Based on Article Seventeen of the Social Security Law, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarified that there are 5 main cases in which the payment of the pension to the beneficiary is stopped, which are as follows:
- Violation of eligibility conditions: If it is proven that one of the eligibility and entitlement conditions is no longer available to the beneficiary, such as exceeding the limit for the monthly income of the family, the pension is suspended.
- Providing incorrect data: If the ministry discovers that the beneficiary has provided incorrect and misleading information or data about himself or his family in order to obtain the pension unlawfully.
- Delay in updating data: If the ministry asks the beneficiary to update his personal or financial data and he does not do so within a period exceeding 30 days from the date he was notified of the request.
- Failure to comply with the rehabilitation plan: If it is proven that the beneficiary who is able to work does not comply with the rehabilitation and training plan prepared for him, or does not seriously seek a job opportunity, or rejects suitable job and training offers presented to him through approved employment platforms.
- Permanent residence in shelters or treatment centers: If the beneficiary resides permanently in one of the shelters or treatment centers sponsored by the state.
