Canada imposes new sanctions on individuals and entities affiliated with Iran

Canada has imposed additional sanctions on five individuals and four Iranian companies linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The Canadian Foreign Ministry explained in a statement published by AFP that the five individuals and four entities targeted by the sanctions are accused of supporting non-state militias and terrorist groups allied with Tehran, and of supplying them with weapons and technologies that contribute to destabilizing the Middle East. New sanctions

The statement added: Canada will also impose sanctions on those who contribute to Iran’s destabilizing activities, noting that Canada now imposes sanctions on 227 individuals and 260 Iranian entities.
