The Crown Prince of Bahrain arrives in Riyadh
Reaffirming the deep fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, arrived in Riyadh, the capital, on Tuesday for an official visit. He was received at King Khalid International Airport by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, along with a number of senior officials, including the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Bahrain, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom, Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
Deep-rooted historical ties and shared origins
Saudi-Bahraini relations are based on solid historical foundations and deep social and cultural ties that extend back decades. The two countries form a cornerstone of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), sharing a common destiny and a unified vision on many issues. The King Fahd Causeway, which has connected the two countries since 1986, stands as a living symbol of this interdependence, not only geographically but also as an economic and social artery that strengthens ties between the two brotherly peoples.
