In a move reflecting the continued growth of the fitness sector in Saudi Arabia, Armah Sports Company announced on Wednesday the signing of a lease for a new site on Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Road in the Arqa district of Riyadh. The site will house a state-of-the-art fitness club. This announcement reaffirms the company's commitment to its ambitious expansion plan in the capital.
In an official statement published on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) website, the company explained that the new project will be exclusively for men and will operate under its own brand, B_FIT. This brand is distinguished by its modern concept of fitness clubs, offering comprehensive facilities supported by the latest technological innovations designed to enrich the members' experience and seamlessly and effectively integrate technology with physical activity.
Expansion and growth strategy
This project is the latest in a series of projects by Armah Sports Company, which aims to develop integrated sports clubs in carefully selected strategic locations. The company's strategy focuses on maximizing investment returns and achieving sustainable growth by targeting vibrant neighborhoods with high population density and suitable purchasing power, such as the upscale and rapidly growing Arqa district in western Riyadh.
The company indicated that it is in the process of appointing a specialized contractor to carry out the construction work for the project according to the approved specifications and engineering plans, anticipating that the project will be completed and operational within two years. It also affirmed its commitment to disclosing any significant developments that may occur during the project's progress.
In line with Vision 2030 and the Quality of Life Program
The expansion of "Armah Sports" cannot be viewed in isolation from the broader context of economic and social transformations in the Kingdom. This project aligns directly with the goals of "Vision 2030," specifically the "Quality of Life Program," which aims to promote sports participation in society and increase the percentage of people exercising at least once a week to 40% by 2030.
The sports club sector in Saudi Arabia is witnessing a qualitative leap, as clubs are no longer just traditional training facilities, but have transformed into community health centers that rely on artificial intelligence and modern technologies, which is the focus of the "Be Fit" brand. This expansion contributes to creating new job opportunities for Saudi youth, both in the establishment and operation phases, in addition to strengthening the role of the private sector in the non-oil GDP.
