Al-Sarar Municipality has completed the paving of streets in the Shifiya settlement, covering an area of 5,500 square meters, as part of its efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve the quality of life in line with Vision 2030.

A new achievement in infrastructure projects in the Eastern Province

Al-Sarar Municipality announced the completion of its road paving and rehabilitation project in the village of Shafiya, within its service area. The project covered a total area of 5,548 square meters. This project is a significant step in a series of initiatives aimed at developing and improving the efficiency of the local road network, serving the residents of the area and enhancing traffic safety. This achievement reflects the municipality's commitment to implementing the directives of the wise leadership to improve the quality of municipal services provided to citizens and residents in all cities, villages, and rural settlements.

Within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to achieve balanced development

This service project falls within the broader context of comprehensive national development plans spearheaded by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places improving the quality of life at the heart of its objectives. Development is no longer confined to major cities but extends to all regions, including remote villages and settlements, to ensure balanced and sustainable development. The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, through its secretariats and sub-municipalities such as Al-Sarar Municipality, plays a pivotal role in translating these objectives into tangible reality by implementing infrastructure projects that directly impact citizens' lives.

Positive impact on the lives of residents and local development

The importance of road paving in the rural settlement of Shafiya extends far beyond simply improving the urban landscape, encompassing profound economic and social impacts. Locally, the project facilitates daily commuting for residents, reduces travel time to essential services such as schools and health centers, and minimizes vehicle wear and tear, thus lowering maintenance costs. Furthermore, paved roads help reduce dust and sandstorms, positively impacting public health and the surrounding environment. Regionally, connecting the settlement to a modern road network fosters integration between areas and supports local economic activities.

Commitment to the highest technical quality standards

In this context, the Mayor of Al-Sarar, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, affirmed that the municipality prioritizes infrastructure projects due to their direct impact on the comfort and safety of residents. He explained that the paving work in the village of Shafiya was carried out according to the highest approved technical specifications. The work included leveling and preparing the sub-base layers, followed by the precise application of asphalt layers to ensure their durability and ability to withstand weight and traffic. Mr. Al-Dosari indicated that these development projects will continue to encompass all villages and settlements within the municipality, with the aim of providing a safe, stimulating, and attractive urban environment, and achieving sustainable development that serves current and future generations.
