Bandar Al-Muqayyil, president of Al-Riyadh Club, confirms the return of Talal Hajji and Farha Al-Shamrani to Al-Ittihad during the winter transfer window after activating the buy-back clause in their contracts following the Al-Hazm match.

Bandar Al-Muqayyil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Riyadh Club, officially confirmed the end of the loan spells for first-team players Talal Hajji and Farha Al-Shamrani, and their return to Al-Ittihad Club immediately after the team's upcoming match against Al-Hazm. This announcement puts an end to the speculation surrounding the future of the two young players, who delivered impressive performances during the first half of the current season.

Activating the player recovery clause

In media statements via the “Thamania” platform, Al-Muqayyil explained that Al-Ittihad's management decided to activate the clause stipulated in the loan agreement, which allows the club to recall the players during the winter transfer window. The Al-Riyadh president said, “Al-Ittihad's management officially requested the return of Talal Hajji and Farha Al-Shamrani in the winter, and this is their inherent right under the contract signed between the two parties. Therefore, the duo will return to Jeddah after the final whistle of our match against Al-Hazm.”.

Talal Hajji... a promising Saudi talent

The decision to bring back Talal Hajji is a significant strategic move for Al-Ittihad, given the young striker's considerable potential. Hajji made the most of his loan spell with Al-Riyadh, gaining ample playing time that allowed him to showcase his scoring and physical abilities. He is considered one of the most promising future talents in Saudi football, having already broken records as the youngest player to participate in and score in continental and domestic competitions. This makes him a valuable addition to Al-Ittihad's attack, which is looking to bolster its ranks with young and dynamic players.

Strengthening the ranks of the Dean and the impact of the decision

On a technical level, the return of Farha Al-Shamrani and Talal Hajji represents a significant boost to the coach's options at Al-Ittihad, especially given the fierce competition in the Saudi Professional League and the pressing need to rotate players and strengthen the bench with technically and physically ready options. This move reflects the interest of major clubs in monitoring their loaned players and assessing their ongoing development.

On the other hand, Al-Riyadh will face a technical challenge in compensating for the absence of the duo, especially since the coach relied on them as key pillars of the lineup in recent rounds. This situation highlights the importance of the loan system in the Saudi league, which gives young players the opportunity to gain experience and participate regularly, allowing them to return to their parent clubs with greater on-field experience, ultimately benefiting the national team and Saudi football in general.

It is worth noting that the match in which the duo will bid farewell to Al-Riyadh will be against Al-Hazm in the twelfth round of the Roshan League, after which the two players will head directly to join Al-Ittihad's training in preparation for the upcoming matches.
