Al-Hilal officially announced the signing of Sultan Mandash from Al-Taawoun and Spanish defender Paulo Mari. Learn more about the deals, player statistics, and their professional careers.

The board of directors of Al-Hilal Saudi Club announced today, Sunday, the completion of the official signing of Sultan Mandash from Al-Taawoun Club, to bolster the first football team's ranks during the current winter transfer window. This move comes as part of the club's management's efforts to continue its fierce competition for all available local and continental titles this season.

Sultan Mandash is considered a valuable addition to Al-Hilal's squad, having delivered impressive performances this season while wearing the "Sugar of Qassim" jersey. Statistics indicate that the player has participated in 15 matches this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists for his teammates, reflecting his attacking prowess and ability to make a difference in the final third of the pitch.

A distinguished career and extensive experience in the Saudi League

Sultan Mandash, who effectively plays on the right wing, possesses extensive experience in Saudi football, having played for several prominent clubs, which has given him considerable footballing maturity. His career began with his promotion to Al-Ittihad's first team during the 2014/2015 season, before he went on loan to Najran to gain experience. In the 2017/2018 season, Al-Faisaly purchased his contract, where he delivered outstanding performances that led to his joining Al-Ahli in the 2019/20 season.

Mandash's journey didn't end there. He had a loan spell with Al-Taawoun, then moved permanently to Al-Fayha in the 2021/2022 season, where he was part of the team that achieved historic milestones for the club. Al-Taawoun then bought his contract back in the summer transfer window of the 2024/2025 season. This movement between top Saudi clubs provides Al-Hilal with a player ready to handle the pressure of big matches.

Al-Hilal's reinforcements and the context of the competition

This deal does not come out of nowhere, but rather reflects Al-Hilal's strategy to strengthen the substitutes' bench and provide diverse tactical options for the coach, especially in light of the busy schedule the team faces, which requires having substitutes at a high level of readiness to compensate for potential absences and implement a rotation policy to maintain the players' fitness.

In a related context that confirms Al-Hilal’s unbridled desire to dominate, the club was not satisfied with the Mandash deal today, as it had previously announced on the same day the signing of the Spanish defender Paolo Mari from the Italian club Fiorentina (knowing that the player has previous experiences in Arsenal and Monza), which indicates diligent administrative work to close all defensive and offensive gaps before the winter transfer window closes.
