The first football team of Al-Fateh Club has completed its intensive field preparations in preparation for the anticipated match that will bring it together tomorrow, Friday, with its counterpart Al-Ahli Club, on the grounds of Al-Fateh Club Stadium (First Finance Field) in Al-Ahsa Governorate, as part of the eleventh round of the Saudi Roshan Professional League competition.
The final training session was marked by great enthusiasm and clear seriousness from the players, as Portuguese coach José Gomes led a varied technical drill, focusing on purely tactical aspects. Gomes divided the team into two groups, implementing several technical plays and tactical plans across the entire pitch, amidst intense competition among the players to gain the coach's trust and secure a starting position in the "model" team's lineup for the match against one of the Saudi football giants.
In an effort to impose the highest levels of focus, the team delegation left immediately after the end of training to enter a closed camp in one of the hotels in Al-Ahsa Governorate, in order to prepare the players mentally and psychologically for this important match, and to ensure that they stay away from any external influences that may distract them before the starting whistle.
This match holds particular importance for both teams, as Al-Fateh seeks to capitalize on home advantage and a supportive crowd to achieve a positive result against Al-Ahli, a team brimming with international stars. This encounter comes at a time of significant growth and intense competition in Saudi football, making every point crucial for teams' league standings. Coach Gomez is aware of the challenge posed by a team possessing potent attacking options, and is therefore expected to field his strongest lineup from the outset, relying on a balanced approach between defense and attack to try and secure the three points and improve the team's position in the league table.
Historically, matches between Al-Fateh and Al-Ahli have always been fiercely contested and exciting. Al-Fateh, a former league champion, possesses a strong character that enables them to compete with the top teams, especially when playing at their home ground in Al-Ahsa. Al-Fateh fans are expecting a strong response from the players to deliver a performance worthy of the club's reputation and the aspirations of its supporters in this exceptional season of the Roshan League.
