The Tasnim and Mizan news agencies, the sister agency of Shargh, reported details of the incident, noting that the attack targeted the city of Rey, where the bombing hit a police station as well as residential buildings adjacent to the site, resulting in material and human damage.
Media sources confirmed that a number of civilians were killed as a result of the attack, noting that rescue teams are facing difficulties with people still trapped under the rubble, without issuing an accurate official statistic that determines the final number of victims so far.
In a related development, Al Arabiya reported in a breaking news bulletin that an Israeli strike targeted parts of the Iranian state television building. This coincided with an announcement by Iranian state media of an explosion near the television headquarters, without providing immediate details on the extent of the damage.
