Omani media personality Ahmed Al-Rawas talks about his relationship with Al-Qadisiyah Club, and analyzes the competition for the Roshan League title, predicting that Al-Nasr will win the title thanks to its attacking strength.

A historical relationship with Al-Khobar and Al-Qadisiyah Club

In an exclusive statement to Al-Midan, prominent Omani journalist Ahmed Al-Rawas revealed his deep connection to the Saudi city of Al-Khobar and Al-Qadisiyah Club, on the sidelines of his attendance at the “Al-Qadisiyah Ramadan Season.” Al-Rawas explained that he was born in Al-Khobar and lived there for the first six years of his life, as his father worked for Aramco, the global oil giant whose history is intertwined with the development of the Eastern Province.

Al-Rawas added that this period instilled in him a special love for Al-Qadisiyah Club, as his father was a devoted fan of the prestigious club and was keen to attend all its matches in the past. These personal memories lend an emotional dimension to his sports analysis and closely connect him to Saudi football and its history, especially in the Eastern Province, which is considered the birthplace of many clubs and stars.

Analysis of the competition in the Saudi Roshan League

Al-Rawas then turned his attention to analyzing the fierce competition for the Saudi Professional League title, which has garnered global attention after attracting international stars. He noted that Al-Qadisiyah is performing exceptionally well this season, yet the media and fans are focusing more on the traditional top clubs like Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli. Al-Rawas believes that Al-Qadisiyah still has a chance to compete for the top spot, especially since the team is playing without the same level of pressure as its rivals.

Al-Qadisiyah currently occupies fourth place with 53 points, an advanced position that reflects the great development in the team’s performance, but it remains behind the leading trio, which includes Al-Nasr (58 points), Al-Ahli (56 points), and Al-Hilal (55 points), with 11 rounds remaining in the season.

Al-Nasr is the closest to the title due to its attacking strength

When asked about his predictions for the title, Al-Rawas didn't hesitate to choose Al-Nassr as the top contender. The Omani journalist attributed this prediction to the formidable attacking prowess of "Al-Aalami" (the Global Club), which he considers the most powerful weapon for deciding matches and securing points. The presence of top-class players in the attacking line gives the team a clear advantage in the long and arduous title race.

This season's Roshan League is witnessing exceptional competition, with Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli representing the Kingdom's footballing powerhouses, each boasting a rich history of championships and a massive fan base. The fierce rivalry between these giants, coupled with the surprise inclusion of Al-Qadisiyah, promises an exciting and unpredictable end to the season, making every match in the remaining rounds crucial and rendering the title race extremely difficult to predict.
