Details of Adwaa Al-Arifi’s visit to Al-Ettifaq Club and her tour of the Ego Stadium and the youth team facilities, in support of the Ministry of Sports’ efforts to develop infrastructure in accordance with Vision 2030.

In a move reflecting the sports leadership's commitment to monitoring the progress of work in Saudi clubs, Ms. Adhwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Arifi, Assistant Minister of Sports for Sports Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, conducted an important inspection visit to the headquarters of Al-Ettifaq Club in Dammam. This visit is part of a series of field visits aimed at closely examining the current state of national clubs and monitoring efforts to develop the sports sector in line with the exceptional circumstances the Kingdom is experiencing.

Upon her arrival, the Assistant Minister of Sport was received by the CEO of Al-Ettifaq Club, Mr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mutawa, and a number of club officials. Ms. Al-Arifi began her visit with an extensive tour of all the club's facilities and modern infrastructure. The tour was highlighted by a visit to the club's main stadium, named "Ego Stadium," where she inspected the stadium's readiness and its supporting facilities. She also visited the youth team training grounds, which are considered the primary source of talent for the club's future, and received a detailed explanation of the technical and technological equipment available to serve the players and coaching staff.

This visit is particularly significant given the major transformations underway in the Saudi Arabian sports sector under the umbrella of Vision 2030. The Ministry of Sport, through its club support strategy, aims to enhance the infrastructure of sports facilities to create an attractive and stimulating environment for professionalism, directly contributing to improving the quality of life. During the tour, Al-Arifi discussed the approved development plans and existing operational mechanisms, praising the tangible progress achieved in Al-Ettifaq Club's infrastructure, which strengthens its technical and administrative readiness to compete and host various sporting events.

For his part, the CEO of Al-Ettifaq Club, Mr. Hamad Al-Mutawa, expressed his appreciation for this kind visit, conveying his deep gratitude to Ms. Adhwaa Al-Arifi. Mr. Al-Mutawa emphasized that the direct attention from ministry officials serves as a significant incentive for the club's staff to exert even greater effort. He noted that these steps are an extension of the unlimited support and tireless work led by the Ministry of Sports, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sports, who spares no effort in removing all obstacles facing Saudi clubs to achieve qualitative leaps that will place Saudi sports among the ranks of developed nations.

The visit concluded by emphasizing that the successes achieved by Al-Ettifaq Club and the rest of the Saudi clubs would not have been possible without the ambitious vision of the wise leadership - may God protect them - which has given the sports sector unprecedented attention, which has contributed to accelerating the pace of development and improving the sports system in a comprehensive manner, whether at the level of facilities, governance or technical performance.
