The Absher platform achieved an unprecedented milestone by carrying out more than 41 million electronic transactions during December, benefiting from a user base that exceeded 28 million within the framework of Vision 2030.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey, with the Ministry of Interior announcing record-breaking figures for transactions on the "Absher" electronic platform. In December alone, the platform processed 41,104,448 electronic transactions , reflecting the growing reliance on and high level of trust in government digital services among citizens and residents.

Detailed figures reflect the scale of the achievement

Official statistics revealed that the lion's share of these transactions was recorded through the "Absher Individuals" platform, exceeding 38.4 million transactions. Notably, the digital wallet garnered significant attention from users, with over 31.8 million digital document reviews conducted, indicating the Ministry's success in replacing paper documents with approved digital IDs. Meanwhile, the business sector continued its growth through the "Absher Business" platform, registering over 2.6 million transactions, thus facilitating the investment environment and supporting the private sector.

Most active sectors

In terms of security and service sectors, public security services took center stage, where:

  • The General Directorate of Traffic recorded more than 3.5 million transactions, reflecting the ease of procedures for renewing licenses, transferring ownership, and other traffic services.
  • The General Directorate of Passports carried out more than 2.3 million transactions, including visas and data updates for residents and visitors.
  • The Civil Status Agency witnessed the implementation of approximately 539,000 electronic transactions.

The context of digital transformation and Vision 2030

These figures cannot be viewed in isolation from the broader context of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build an effective digital government. The Absher platform is the Ministry of Interior's most important technological arm, having contributed to eliminating bureaucracy and reducing congestion in government offices, thus saving beneficiaries millions of hours. This digital expansion has not been limited to basic services, but has also included specialized services such as issuing more than 135,000 reports through the Absher Reports service and providing document delivery services via mail.

A huge user base and a gateway to national access

It is worth noting that the number of unified digital identities issued through the platform has exceeded 28 million . This significant number not only provides access to the services of the Ministry of Interior, but also serves as the key to accessing more than 500 government and private entities through the unified national access portal “Nafath,” thus reinforcing the concept of a connected government and making the Kingdom a leading global model in the field of smart government services.
