Preparing General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque To welcome the millions of worshippers, pilgrims, and visitors who began arriving with the arrival of the last ten days of Ramadan the blessed month of Ramadan.

This is achieved through the activation of a comprehensive operational system based on four main pillars that ensure the quality of performance and efficiency of service in the Two Holy Mosques. These pillars include operational services, maintenance work, crowd management, and enrichment services to create a reverent and spiritual atmosphere for the guests of God.

Smart technologies

The Authority intensified its field efforts by taking great care of the carpets, perfuming them, and disinfecting the corridors with continuous fumigation and sterilization, while providing blessed Zamzam water in all locations and preparing additional prayer areas to accommodate the human density.

The authority also implemented Internet of Things technologies to direct visitors to less crowded restrooms via interactive screens that use real-time data to facilitate access and reduce waiting times, in addition to operating monitoring systems and support services to ensure the highest quality standards.

Efficiency of engineering systems

The authority raised the maximum readiness for all maintenance services by enhancing the reliability of electricity and energy networks, ensuring the efficiency of air conditioning, lighting and advanced sound systems, while ensuring the safety and operation of elevators and escalators around the clock.

The preparations also included a thorough review of safety and emergency systems to ensure the continuity of services in accordance with the highest international accreditation standards that guarantee the safety and security of visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

Professional crowds

Crowd management teams have doubled their efforts to regulate movement within the two holy mosques and their outer courtyards by activating flow paths, interactive 3D maps and the Where Are We digital card service to accurately locate people.

Foot patrols equipped with simultaneous translation devices were also deployed to serve the pilgrims in their various languages and to provide comprehensive logistical, medical and awareness services to those in seclusion and worshippers to enable them to perform their rituals in a safe and secure environment.
