The Prophet's Mosque: Volunteer efforts collect more than 150,000 surplus meals

(1,520) male and female volunteers collected (156,693) iftar meals for fasting individuals at the Prophet's Mosque during the period from the 1st to the 26th of Ramadan, as part of the efforts of the Food Preservation Society to reduce food waste and deliver blessings to those in need. The volunteers contributed to collecting surplus food items, including more than (285,000) packets of bread, (136,000) bottles of water, and (146,000) packets of dates, in addition to quantities of maamoul products, yogurt, and other foodstuffs, using 8 transport vehicles and (250) bags designated for collection and distribution. These efforts represent one aspect of Ramadan volunteer work throughout the Prophet's Mosque, embodying the importance of preserving blessings and the meaning of social solidarity in serving the community and beneficiaries during this time

Volunteers contributed to collecting surplus food items, including over 285,000 packets of bread, 136,000 bottles of water, and 146,000 packets of dates, in addition to quantities of maamoul (date-filled cookies), yogurt, and other food products. This was accomplished using eight transport vehicles and 250 bags specifically designed for collection and distribution.
These efforts represent one aspect of Ramadan volunteer throughout the Prophet's Mosque, embodying the importance of preserving blessings and the spirit of social solidarity in serving the community and those in need during the holy month.
