The meeting, chaired by Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, is scheduled to discuss the most appropriate ways to complete the semi-final and final matches, in light of the current developments in the region, in order to ensure the continuation of the tournament according to the highest organizational standards.
This meeting comes as a continuation of what the Gulf Federation previously announced regarding the review of the file for resuming the tournament, in preparation for making the final decision based on the recommendations that will come out of the competitions committee.
The committee is expected to study various organizational and logistical aspects during the meeting, to ensure that the remaining matches are held in fair conditions between the teams, while maintaining the sporting spirit that characterizes the Gulf Union championships.
Al Shabab had secured their place in the semi-finals after finishing second in Group B with 7 points, 5 points behind leaders Al Rayyan.
Al-Shabab are waiting to find out their next opponent, while awaiting the results of the first group, which includes Zakho of Iraq, Al-Ain of the UAE, Al-Qadisiyah of Kuwait, and Sitra of Bahrain.
Zakho tops the group standings with 10 points, followed by Al Ain with 9 points, then Al Qadisiyah with 7 points, while Sitra is in last place with 2 points.
