The General Authority for Ports explained that the newly established service strategically links Dammam Port directly with the ports of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, and Umm Qasr in Iraq.

The move confirmed the Kingdom’s relentless pursuit of supporting the national export movement and enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi ports on the international maritime transport map.
“Ports” pointed out that this expansion in shipping lines is in line with the objectives of the current National Strategy for Transport and Logistics.

The authority pointed to the port’s pivotal role in consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub linking the three continents and facilitating access for goods to markets.
Official figures revealed that King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam has an integrated infrastructure and logistics facilities, including 43 fully equipped berths.
The authority added that the port’s total handling capacity reaches 105 million tons of goods, making it a fertile and attractive environment for major international companies.
