Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 0.2%, or 81 points. S&P 500 futures also declined 0.2%, and Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 0.3%.
These moves come after the S&P 500 posted its third consecutive week of losses, closing at its lowest level this year on Friday. The benchmark index ended the week down 1.6%, while the Dow Jones and Nasdaq fell by about 2% and 1.3%, respectively.
In a separate context, oil prices their rise as the US-Iran trade war entered its third week, with West Texas Intermediate crude rising 2% to $100.88 and Brent crude rising 2.6% to $105.81.
Energy prices surged last week, with Brent crude settling above $100 a barrel for the first time since 2022, amid Middle East tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which is responsible for the passage of a fifth of the world's oil supply.
