Meat and chicken prices remained stable while fish prices rose in Saudi Arabia during February

Meat, chicken, and fish prices in Saudi markets saw mixed performance during February. Red meat prices remained stable, chicken prices declined slightly, and fish prices experienced varying increases compared to January. According to the General Authority for Statistics' February 2026 bulletin of average prices for goods and services, fresh beef saw a slight increase to SAR 52.9 per kilogram, compared to SAR 52.6 in January. Local lamb prices decreased by 0.4% to SAR 66.6 per kilogram in February, compared to SAR 66.9 in January. Imported chilled lamb, however, rose by 2% to SAR 55.6 per kilogram
Meat, chicken and fish prices witnessed mixed price movements in Saudi markets during February, with red meat prices remaining stable, chicken prices declining slightly, while fish prices saw varying increases, compared to the previous month of January.

bulletin of average prices for goods Local lamb saw a 0.4% decrease in price per kilogram, reaching SAR 66.6 in February, down from SAR 66.9 in January. Imported chilled lamb, however, rose by 2% to SAR 55.6, compared to SAR 54.5 in the previous month. The price of fresh camel meat increased by 1.1% to SAR 54.5, up from SAR 53.9 in January.

Chicken prices

statistics data , the price of fresh local chicken (1 kg) reached SAR 17.4, an increase of 1.2%, while locally frozen chicken (900 g) remained unchanged at SAR 18.8. Imported frozen chicken rose by 0.5% to reach SAR 18 in February, compared to SAR 17.9 in the previous month.
The price of fresh chicken thighs (450 g) decreased to SAR 9.8, a drop of 1%, and fresh chicken breast fillets also decreased by the same percentage to SAR 20.5.

Fish prices

kingfish rose by 1.2% during February to reach 68 riyals compared to 67.2 riyals in January, while grouper increased by 2.2% to 57.4 riyals, and shrimp by 1.6% to 80.1 riyals.
